Dear Sir,
I thank you for your letter of the 1st inst., and have notified my son at Stalag Luft 6 that he has been made a member of the Caterpillar Club, I also note that his membership card will be forwarded in due course.
I am sorry to trouble you again, but is it possible to give me the name & address of the person who packed the parachute.
I do not know whether you will be in a position

to do this, but for your information I may say that my son was the navigator of a Stirling Bomber, stationed at Downham Market, Norfolk. Attached to 218 (Gold Coast) Squadron. He did not return from operations during the night of June 25/26th
I am glad to tell you he is in good health & spirits.
His injuries were very slight, consisting of the loss of a tooth & a few scratches, which he says have now completely healed.
Thanking You.
Yours sincerely
W.T Baker.
