Hello Folks:
Well its Saturday afternoon 2.30 a grand day. I am writing early this week because I may be too busy to-morrow. Haven’t had any mail since a week ago yesterday but may be some to-day
I got a parcel from you on Wednesday which you sent on May 31 so that is extremely good time. Enjoyed the cookies but have not eaten the steak or other food stuff as yet. My meals are very good here. I have a place where we can get eggs and bacon any time at all so its quite pleasant here. We sleep three to the room now with running water and all conveniences. Enjoyed the two copies of the Statesman you sent to me and have not discarded them as yet.
According to your last letter you were finishing seeding. They are busy haying around here now I expect you are doing the same at home. Hope you are all well and mother is feeling improved
The weather here never seems to be warm like you get in Canada always a cool breeze
I suppose you are kept reasonably busy spraying The young orchard will be quite a size by now I will hardly know it when I get back again.
News is looking very good and I certainly hope it continues.
I saw your ad in the paper about the potatoes There seems to be lots of them around over there. I hope you will have sold them by now. Are you having any trouble with foxes or skunks this year
[page break]
If you address my mail 427 Sqd RCAF overseas, it might reach me a little sooner.
I expect Grant and Gwen are kept busy hoeing and such like. It is quite a lazy life over here. Kept busy for 24 hrs standby and then loaf for about 3 or 4 days for something to happen I’m getting used to it and don’t mind it so much
I had a photo taken in London. I will send it

to you when it arrives. It is about a week late now
Well that’s about all for now. Remember me to all the folks I think of them often. Don’t worry about me I’ll be ok. I wrote plain mail last Sunday. Am only allowed 8 air letters a month now
Write often and take good care of yourselves
Love
Glenn
