Sir,
I am directed to forward for your retention a photograph of the grave of your son, Sergeant W. Perkins and his crew in Sulzbach Cemetery.
The cross bears the following inscription “Here rest in God 9 English Airmen, crashed on 21st March, 1945, at Sulzbach”.
Whilst the Department is reluctant to refer again to the loss of your son, it is sincerely hoped that the receipt of this photograph will afford you some measure of comfort in your bereavement.
