Mr. Seymour Edwards [missing words] Llandrindod Wells was [missing words] Sergt. Hanne and they all felt [missing words] sad news very much. He thought a message of sympathy should also be sent to his grandmother, who lost a son in the last war. Sergt. Hanne was a very gallant soldier.

The chairman expressed similar views and the resolution was carried in the usual manner.

The chairman extended a welcome to Mr. Austin Jones (“Wellington Journal”) on his return to the Press table at the Council Chamber after an absence for some time.
