Description

Pilot's Flying Log Book for Sergeant H E Batchelder DFM covering the period 2 March 1941 to 11 May 1945 and detailing training flights, air tests and operations. Aircraft flown were Tiger Moth, Oxford, Whitley and Halifax. Harold Batchelder carried out 12 operations during his tour with 102 Squadron at RAF Topcliffe and RAF Dalton on the following targets in France and Germany: Boulogne, Dunkirk, Berlin, Bonn, Bremen, Cologne, Duisburg, Essen, Kiel, Mannheim and Wilhemshaven. His pilots on operations were: Pilot Officer Albrecht and Sergeants Wilde and Wickham. His co-pilots on operations were Sergeants Hazeldine, Towse, Robinson and Harris.
